- India will have a team men but no team women
-Number of fields available: 5 playing fields, being 4 for men and 1 for women. Besides, 3 practice and training fields are foreseen. The fields were not visited
- Arrival dates for men football teams are different; the teams will arrive on 9 and 10 of October
- It was decided to play the finals only for the 1-2-3-4 rankings. The other final standings will be determined on the basis of the group results.

2. Games Structure
The men football championship will be played with 12 teams selected during the continental preliminary rounds. India, as Organizing Country and Egypt as title holder are automatically qualified. The formation of pools and the drawing of lots will be performed by the Technical Committee.

The women football championship will be played with 6 teams selected according to the criteria set by the President of the CISM TC football.

For football men tournament, the teams will be selected by a Preliminary round on continental level. For the others the TC Concerned will prepare a ranking list of classification which shall take into account the last 5 years participations (including 2006). This list will be handed over to all listed nations by the end of 2006. The Teams qualified shall sign a compromise of participation signed by the Chief of Delegation during the CISM GA 2007. When a nation qualified does not sign the compromise, or decides not to participate, the next team listed in the ranking shall be invited to replace the withdrawn team.
